Open Day . Aromatherapy . 10 Nov

For WIP Hairport the street and their characters have always been an inspiring set. However, we are at a time when we need to recover our ancestral connection with nature and the past that unites us to the earth. It is with this intention, and this essence, that we launch a new range of aromatherapy treatments for hair and scalp, with physical, mental and / or emotional effects, that carry us, at times, to the heart of a lush forest. WIP-Hairport invites you to take a dip in the woods through Aromatherapy. Date: Saturday, November 10     Program: Image counseling; suggestions for visual change, fringe cuts and more with the Hairport Team; Head massages (10 min) with Beniko Tanaka (11am to 2pm); Aromatherapy capillary treatments (50% discount) with the Hairport Team; Solid Shampoo Workshop with Veronique Lefort (15h); Aromatherapy Workshop with Fernanda Botelho (17h); AromaFab Natural Cosmetics; Theatrical performance Homo Sapiens with Núria Pinto and Rui Dinis (18h); Proof of Vegan Chocolates (by Chocolate D’Odette) and Organic Teas (by Green Bean); We will also have the honor of having a luxury ambassador for this day: the actress and singer Ana Brandão! Notes: Massages on a first-come, first-served basis; Workshops pre-booking, limited places Support:

WIP OUT

We closed on the 30th for a creative (extended) weekend… We scheduled our regular team meeting for April 30th. And we thought we actually enjoyed doing more than a meeting. So we launched ourselves a challenge! What if we leave Lisbon for a creative (extended) weekend? We called it “WIP OUT”; and so it was (inspired by Priscilla, Queen of the Desert):

WIP Hairport | 20 years

20 years dedicated to cutting and styling at the highest possible level, maintaining a creative and international environment, and with the same strength: meeting personal needs. The acronym WIP – Work in Progress continues to remind us, day-to-day, the need for change, mandatory word in a hairdresser whose clients are strong and independent people. Wip-Hairport is obviously more than just a hairdresser. We are also a cultural and creative meeting point in the heart of historic Lisbon, grown ever since through projects and partnerships. These partnerships are our source of inspiration and a commitment to those who matter the most: our clients. Thank you!

soon

From September, for a few weeks, we invited Jenna to be with us @ WIP Hairport. Jenna Herrington | Austin (USA) Why wip hairport? Wip Hairport is the mecca of creativity and transformation! There is something very special about a salon that can combine these and have such a great following… What they bring has lured me all the way from the U.S., and I look forward to learning new techniques and sharing some of my own. What do you like most in your profession? My favorite thing about my profession is bringing out a side of someone that they never knew they had. Transformations can be challenging and risky, especially when their reputation is in your hands. It is a test of trusting your gut and caring about your client’s emotions. When you are able to see someone blossom after a haircut/color, it is a very rewarding feeling. What is your contribution to the team? I have experience working in salons and classic barbershops. Therefore, I wish to extend my knowledge in classic / modern barbering and share techniques in dry cutting and balayage. At the end of the day though, I hope to make my team laugh and inspire them as well… Do you have hobbies? Yes, many! But to sum things up… I produce electronic music and I really enjoy photography and painting.

Bica: The 24+1 most beautiful streets in the world

RUA DA BICA DE DUARTE BELO IN LISBON Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo is certainly one of the most photographed streets in Lisbon. Known for its iconic (and squeaky) funicular, Elevador da Bica, it descends steeply from the charming Bairro Alto district to the waterfront—incredibly picturesque! [view article here]
